Privacy Policy
This website is deliberately built to collect as little data as possible. No cookies, no analytics, no tracking, no advertising. This page explains the small amount of processing that does occur when you visit or use the contact form, in line with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Who is responsible
Christian Pierce, Switzerland, is responsible for this website. For any privacy-related question or request, use the contact form or reach out via LinkedIn.
Hosting and server logs
This site is hosted by Netlify, Inc., 512 2nd Street, Suite 200, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you visit, Netlify's servers technically process your IP address and standard request data (pages requested, timestamp, browser type) to deliver the site and protect it against abuse. This processing is based on legitimate interest in operating a secure website. Netlify may process this data on servers outside Switzerland and the European Economic Area; Netlify participates in recognized data transfer frameworks and offers contractual safeguards for such transfers. Details are available in Netlify's privacy policy.
Contact form
If you use the contact form, the data you enter (name, email address, subject, and message) is transmitted to and stored by Netlify Forms so that your inquiry can be received and answered. This data is used solely to respond to you and to conduct any business relationship you initiate. It is not sold, shared for marketing, or used for any other purpose. Messages are retained only as long as needed to handle the inquiry and any follow-up, after which they are deleted. Providing this data is voluntary; you can always reach out via LinkedIn instead.
Fonts
The typefaces on this site are self-hosted. No font requests are sent to Google or any other third party when you load these pages.
Cookies, analytics, and tracking
This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or tracking scripts. That is why there is no cookie banner: there is nothing to consent to.
External links
This site links to external services such as LinkedIn. Once you follow such a link, the privacy policy of the respective provider applies. This site has no influence over and accepts no responsibility for their data processing.
Your rights
Under the FADP and, where applicable, the GDPR, you have the right to request information about the personal data processed about you, to have inaccurate data corrected, to request deletion, and to object to processing based on legitimate interest. If you have sent a message through the contact form and would like it deleted, simply say so and it will be removed. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority; in Switzerland this is the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated if the website's functionality changes. The version published on this page is the current one.
